Mission
The mission of RedLou Library is to provide a trusted, reliable and connected mobile library service to individuals in the Viroqua, Wisconsin school district by delivering library materials and providing literary experiences to youth and underserved individuals.
Purpose
1
To serve children by providing story times at daycare facilities
2
To serve children who do not have adequate access to reading materials during the summer
3
To serve preschool-age children by presenting story times in city parks
4
To serve residents of assisted-living facilities by providing requested items and materials to browse
5
To serve individuals who are not able to easily visit McIntosh Memorial Library
6
To provide opportunities to check out and return materials
Meet the Board
Mary Mulvaney-Kemp
President and founder
Mary has harbored the idea for a mobile library for nearly 20 years. The idea began while serving as a reading specialist and further developed while working at McIntosh Memorial Library. The mission statement of RedLou Library reflects the result those experiences.
Chuck Mulvaney-Kemp
Vice President/Secretary
Following careers in teaching and nursing, Chuck is the Teen Court Coordinator for Vernon County.
Mike Brendel
Treasurer
Mike is the Business Manager for Viroqua Area Schools.
